The Routes

The 2012 Lancashire Walk of Hope on 1st September offers routes for walkers and runners of all abilities through the finest scenery in West Lancs. You can enter either to raise money for charity or simply for fun. The three routes start and finish in The Beacon Country Park where there will also be outdoor entertainment. The walks are:

The Four Peaks Challenge 
A strenuous timed 25 mile run or walk
The Two Peaks Challenge
An 18 mile timed run or walk
The Three Peaks Walk
A 13 mile walk

    Thanks to all of last year's helpers for making the event and to all the runners and walkers for braving the rain! The fastest finishers of the 2011 challenges are listed in the Hall of Fame. Start your training now for the 2012 event!


The Charities
The registration fees for the walk go directly to a local charity called "Hands of Hope Romania” The walks are also designed for other local charities to be able to both raise sponsor money and showcase their work. The other charities involved in 2011 were The MaisyRose Project, Twinkle House, and Oaks Trust. (see "About us" for more details of the charities and how your charity can join).
